We have the opportunity for a Remedial Massage Therapist to join the team in our Australind clinic. The role of Massage encompasses the roles and responsibilities as listed below to help our team and clients move better, feel great and enjoy life as part of the PGSW team!

About the Role
The Remedial Massage Therapist will perform therapeutic massages on clients to improve circulation, promote relaxation, and relieve stress, pain and injuries. Remedial Massage Therapists collaborate with other practitioners at the clinic to assist with treatment plans.
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Complete the clinical compliance requirements such as notes and administrative tasks
- Maintain Practitioner checklists including new clients, missed and cancelled appointments
- Management of client as if it is your Mum / Dad / family member or AFL player!
- Technical Massage skills including providing clients with clarity on their condition and then structures management according to the specific causative factors contributing to the patient’s pathology and referring to appropriate allied health professionals as required
- Demonstrates and delivers high levels of all Massage technical skills and actively promotes preventative care and early intervention.
- Refer clients for Physiotherapy appropriately when indicated.
We offer full-time or part-time options, with negotiable shifts within clinic hours. The successful candidate will be expected to make themselves available for some occasional outside of hours involvement as part of your role to help your growth and progression as well as that of the PGSW Team, e.g. presentation / education / involvement at community events, sporting groups, sporting clubs, events etc.
Attractive remuneration to commensurate with your qualifications, skills and experience, starting at $55,000 per annum.
About You
- You are a passionate health practitioner who uses their emotional intelligence to support their client’s wishes and share their passion for the massage experience with their clients.
- You will have completed a Certificate or Diploma in Remedial Massage and hold a Medicare provider number with eligibility for patients to claim benefits on their private health insurance.
- You may have experience working in a healthcare clinic, although it is not essential.
- You have highly developed verbal and written communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
- You will be friendly, caring and professional and someone who is reliable. You have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
- You are a team player who is enthusiastic to further develop their knowledge and skills.
The Musts
- A Certificate or Diploma in Remedial Massage
- Medicare provider number with eligibility for patients to claim benefits on their private health insurance or ability to gain this.
